We are educators and advocates committed to service and integrity, and we always put our clients’ interests ahead of our own.

  • Proactively keep you informed from engagement through the life of your investments.

We are educators first, and brokers second. You will never feel pressured to do anything except comply with IRS time constraints.

Peter Kalmus

Founder and Managing Partner

Peter has been involved in alternative as well as traditional investments for over 40 years, not only as an advisor, but also as principal. His first exposure to 1031 transactions was as a tax lawyer in the 1980’s at the Big 8 accounting firm of Coopers and Lybrand and then at the Wall Street law firm of Carter Ledyard. He earned a B.S. in Accounting from NYU, a JD from Brooklyn Law School, and an LL.M. (Taxation) from NYU Law School. 

As a generalist with expertise in real estate underwriting and syndication, legal and tax matters, and the workings of financial markets, he brings a multi-disciplinary approach to every engagement. As a principal investor, he enjoys a proprietary perspective that aligns with his clients’ interests.

Peter lives in New Jersey with his trusted rottweiler, Mac, and in his spare time enjoys singing, fitness, and trading equities and futures.

Peter holds Series 7,55, and 63 securities licenses. Peter and John have known each other for over 20 years.

John Flavin

Managing Partner

John has over 25 years in the Financial Services Industry with expertise in many investment structures and services, ranging from building traditional investment portfolios to the alternative world of hedge funds and real estate ventures.

After a 14-years, John left the prestigious Guggenheim Partners in 2021 to join Peter Kalmus at Concierge Capital. Prior to joining Guggenheim in 2008, John held positions at Nationwide Financial and Prudential Securities (now Wells Fargo Advisors)

While John was born and raised in New York City, he, and his wife Jackie, along with their two children, Matthew and Olivia, have resided in Ridgefield Connecticut for the past 17-years. In John’s “spare time” he enjoys spending time with his family, including trips to visit his son at Alabama (Roll Tide!) and cheering on his daughter and her high school dance team. John also enjoys playing sports like Golf, Tennis, Softball and Corn Hole.

John holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from St. John’s University and has earned series 7, 63, 66 securities licenses and is a Registered Investment Advisor.

John and Peter have known each other for over 20 years.
